Disney Magic is a cruise ship owned and operated by Disney Cruise Line, a subsidiary of The Walt Disney Company. Its maiden voyage had 11 public decks, accommodating 2,700 passengers in 875 staterooms, and a crew of approximately 950. The interior of Disney Magic is adorned in Art Deco style. The other four ships in its fleet are Disney Wonder, Disney Dream, Disney Fantasy, and Disney Wish.
The ship features 20 bright yellow lifeboats, along with the black, red, and white colors of the ship itself, matching the colors of Mickey Mouse. This departure from the standard safety orange color has waived international maritime regulations. Like other Disney cruise ships, the ship’s horn plays a segment of “When You Wish Upon a Star.” Disney Magic’s “Godmother” is Patricia Disney, the former wife of Walt Disney’s nephew, Roy E. Disney.
