HMS Bellona is a third-rate Bellona-class 74-gun ship of the line of the Royal Navy, used in the Napoleonic Wars. Designed by Sir Thomas Slade and built at Chatham, she was laid down on 10 May 1758, launched on 19 February 1760, and commissioned three days later. She sailed to join the blockade fleet off Brest on 8 April.
In 1762, Bellona was paid off and saw no further service until 1780, in the American Revolutionary War. By 1783, she was cruising in the North Sea, West Indies, and participating in operations off Gibraltar.
In 1801, she took part in the Battle of Copenhagen, despite being aground. She continued to serve in the North Sea and Bay of Biscay until 1814 when she was finally paid off and laid up, having served in the navy for over 50 years, an unusually long time for a wooden ship.
