Queen Elizabeth (QE) is a cruise ship of the Vista class operated by Cunard Line. The design has been modified from previous ships of the same class and is slightly larger than the Queen Victoria, at 92,000 GT. This is due to a more vertical stern and additional cabins for solo passengers. The bows of both Queen Elizabeth and MS Queen Victoria are reinforced thicker than standard for hull plating, to withstand the North Atlantic weather. The ship can accommodate up to 2,092 passengers.

The name of the ship was announced by Cunard on October 10, 2007. Since the retirement of Queen Elizabeth 2 in 2008, the company has operated three ships. Naming the ship Queen Elizabeth led to a situation similar to from 1940 to 1948 when Cunard’s original Queen Elizabeth served concurrently with the Royal Navy battleship HMS Queen Elizabeth.

Queen Elizabeth has a design similar to Queen Victoria, although due to a steeper stern, it has a slightly higher passenger capacity when in service, with 2,058 passengers compared to the 2,014 of MS Queen Victoria
