The San Felipe, launched in 1690, was one of the most beautiful ships of Spain during that era. San Felipe was led by the Spanish Armada Fleet. The role of the San Felipe in the war against the English and the French was to help protect Spanish settlements and ports, as well as to transport gold from the New World.
