SEAWISE GIANT, formerly known as “Knock Nevis,” is one of the largest supertankers ever built. Constructed in 1979, the ship measures 458 meters (1,504 feet) in length and has a deadweight tonnage of over 564,000 tons. It was primarily used for transporting crude oil worldwide.

During its operational years, SEAWISE GIANT made significant contributions to the maritime industry, setting records in size and liquid cargo capacity. However, in 1988, the vessel suffered damage during the Iran-Iraq War and underwent repairs and renovations. After the repairs, the ship was renamed “Happy Giant” and later “Jahre Viking.
